Quick Setup Guide

Welcome to ALVA AI—your intelligent and sophisticated companion in Second Life. Follow these steps to set up your ALVA and begin your experience effortlessly.

1. Wearing the Ring & Activation

• Locate ALVA. Devotion Ring [AI] in your inventory and wear it.
• The ring should automatically activate its RLV and Subscription systems upon wear.
• If activation does not occur automatically, click on the ring to bring up a popup menu with the option to activate manually.

⚠ Disclaimer: The ring is set to invisible on first wear; select a size to reveal it!

2. Accessing the Customization Menu

• Right-click on the ring in your inventory and select Touch to open the menu.
• A pop-up menu will appear with two options: Customize and Update.

⚠ Disclaimer: We are aware that two menus currently appear—one for RLV and another for the AI system. We are actively working on a more seamless solution.

3. Customizing Your ALVA AI

• Selecting Customize will generate a personal link where you can personalize your ALVA AI.
• Here, you can choose their name and adjust other settings to tailor their responses to your preferences.

Config. Advice

When writing your bot configuration, aim to keep your total character count under 1000 characters. Use ‘You’ and ‘Your’ when addressing your bot directly, and include the phrase ‘always speak in character’ to ensure ALVA AI remains fully immersed in the role.

Begin by introducing yourself by name to establish context. When referring to yourself, use third person—e.g., ‘(His / Her / Their) preference is…’ or ‘The owner prefers…’.

Please ensure your response directly addresses the question or topic. For example, if asked ‘How old is your ALVA?’ your response should be something like ‘You are 26 years old.’

Keep your configuration inputs clear, concise, and focused.

4. Updating Your Ring

• Selecting Update will sync your ring’s information with our servers.
• We recommend updating your ring after customization to ensure all settings are applied correctly.

5. Activating Your ALVA AI

• Once your AI’s name is set and your ring is updated, simply say their name in local chat to activate them.
• A one-time Consent Form will appear. After agreeing, your setup is complete.
• From then on, your ALVA AI will respond whenever their name is called.
• Any other user who calls your ALVA AI’s name will also receive a one-time consent form before interaction is allowed.
