With ALVA AI, each subscription unlocks a unique AI character, bringing personalized interactions to your virtual experience. Activation is seamless — once your subscription is active, simply wear the designated object (such as the Devotion Ring) and the system will automatically verify your subscription and bring your AI to life.

What if my ALVA AI doesn’t activate automatically?

If activation doesn’t happen automatically, you can manually activate it by touching the object.

From here, touch your ALVA AI object and select the “Customize” button. Follow the provided prompts to adjust your AI’s settings.

How do I touch the Devotion Ring if it’s difficult to click on?

Due to movement and animation overides (AOs), touching the ring can be tricky. We’ve expanded the touch area to cover the entire pinky finger on the Devotion ring.

If you still experience issues, try accessing your inventory, right-clicking the bolded item name, and selecting “Touch” from the drop-down menu.


To configure your ALVA AI, start by naming your ALVA. This is how your confidante will know that you are communicating with it directly. Your confidante will ONLY respond by name.

Naming NPCs

In the case of naming animesh NPCs, there is a letter limit of 6 characters as your choice of names here will reflect the name tags above each NPC. This rule applies to the following products:

Follow up by introducing yourself by your display name to establish context. When referring to yourself, use third person (e.g., ‘His / Her / Their / (Name)’ or ‘The owner prefers…’) to clarify distinctions between you and your AI.

Why display name?

ALVA AI recognizes avatars by their display names in Second Life. Your configuration helps guide how it interacts with others.

It is also important to address your bot directly by using ‘You’ and ‘Your’ to create a natural and immersive experience.

We’ve included a preset text configuration to guide you (as seen below, and represented with removable [ ] brackets). Your confidante can play any role imaginable as long as all interactions remain PG-Rated.

What if my ALVA AI is speaking in third person?

While ALVA AI is designed to stay in character, occasional third-person responses may occur. To prevent this, include a directive such as ‘Always speak in character’ in your configuration.

To assist with configuration, a set of guiding questions is available on the customization page. Ensure your responses are clear and directly address the prompts.

For example, if asked ‘How old is your ALVA?’ in the configurations page, your written response should be structured as ‘You are 26 years old.’

Keep inputs clear, concise, and directly relevant to your AI’s behavior. Input information here builds your ALVA AI’s character! Whether you want a refined assistant or a dramatic troublemaker, the configuration is entirely in your hands.


ALVA AI does not retain past conversation memory and responds only based on its configuration and the inputs provided during interaction. It is designed for text-based roleplay, communicating exclusively through local chat.

Why is ALVA saying u2019 and u2014?

“u2019” and “u2014” are codes for apostrophes and spaces respectively in computer speak. As a bandaid over this issue, we recommend using putting “Never use abbreviations” as part of your configuration.

This is happening because of a translation error from our service provider. We are actively working with them to fix this issue!


Can I have multiple subscriptions?

Yes! You are able to have multiple subscriptions, however in order to do so each subscription must be activated before purchasing another.

How do I extend my subscription?

You must extend your subscription before it expires to keep your current version of ALVA AI. Once expired, your AI will no longer be accessible.

What happens if my subscription expires?

Your ALVA AI will automatically deactivate. If you want to retrieve the configuration details from your previous AI and transfer them to a new subscription, submit a request via instant message or notecard to our store representatives.

What information do I need to retrieve an old configuration?

To transfer old configuration data, provide:

  • Transaction number of your previous subscription
  • Name of your previous AI confidante
  • Transaction number & purchase date of the new subscription
Will there be additional costs for future updates?

No. All future updates are free of charge!
